A vehicle caught fire on Monday evening on the highway connecting Fier with Vlora, causing panic among other drivers traveling on this road.
According to preliminary information, the car caught fire while driving and was almost completely burned, suffering significant material damage.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the incident. The driver managed to get out of the vehicle in time, avoiding more serious consequences.
Police and firefighters arrived at the scene, who intervened to extinguish the flames and secure the area, while traffic on the highway was carefully diverted for several minutes.
Police have launched investigations to determine the cause of the fire. It is not yet known whether the flames were caused by a technical defect in the vehicle or by other circumstances.
