The fire that engulfed warehouses in the used clothing market in the 5 May area of Tirana has been burning for more than two hours.
The flames are large and have caused panic among residents and surrounding businesses.
Firefighters are working at maximum capacity to isolate the fire and prevent its spread, while police have set up a security perimeter and evacuated residents of buildings near the area.
Several fire engines and dozens of firefighters are at the scene, supported by auxiliary forces from Elbasan, Durrës and Kamza.
