Boric's murder and Musabelliu's attempted execution, SPAK seeks testimony from 40 people

The next hearing on the "Metamorphosis" file was accompanied by tensions and debates between the parties, as the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime requested the summoning of 40 witnesses.

The prosecution intends to question them regarding the murder of Gjin Boriç in August 2020 and the provision of conditions for the assassination of Kleanthi Musabelli, events that, according to SPAK, are related to the activities of a structured criminal group.

The discussion in the hall focused on the SKY ECC application data and the alleged discrepancy between the communication times and the time of Borić's murder. The former head of SPAK, Arben Kraja, stated that the time of the SKY ECC servers does not match the local time, denying the claims of manipulation of the conversation times.

Lawyer Gurali Brahimllari, defense attorney for businessman Pëllumb Gjoka, accused the prosecution of tampering with the minutes. According to him, Gjoka's documentation has been moved and the evidence has been distorted.

The court adjourned the hearing after the lawyers' request for additional time, in order to fully familiarize themselves with the evidence and materials presented by the prosecution.

In this process, in addition to Pëllumb Gjoka, Behar Bajrovic and Edmond Preka are also being tried. The case is being handled with an ordinary trial, while another part of the “Metamorphosis” file, which was related to lighter offenses, was previously reviewed with an abbreviated trial. The next session is expected to continue with the review of the requests and evidence presented by the parties.
