Durrës Police have arrested the two perpetrators of the murder of 45-year-old Denis Çumani in Shijak in January of this year. The security measure "Arrest in prison" has been executed for the two cousins Indrit and Dorian Ferra, 38 and 36 years old.
The two cousins were wanted after they had a fight with the 45-year-old man on January 27 and shot him. Due to the injuries he sustained, he died a few days later in hospital.
The two cousins went to Çuman's house and after physically assaulting him, they shot him with a gun, causing serious injuries. The cause of the conflict is suspected to have been a girl. Çuman had sent her messages while she was in a relationship with Dorian Ferrë.
"Specialists of the Serious Crimes Investigation Section of the Durrës Local Police Directorate executed the security measure "Arrest in prison", assigned by the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for the criminal offenses "Intentional Murder", committed in collaboration, and "Unlicensed Possession and Production of Weapons, Explosive Weapons and Ammunition", for the citizens: -IF, 38 years old and DF, 36 years old (cousins), both residents of Shijak.
These citizens were declared wanted after the investigations suspected that on 27.01.2026, in the city of Shijak, they had a conflict for weak motives with citizen D. Ç., 45 years old, and shot him with a firearm. Due to the injuries, the 45-year-old died a few days later, in hospital," the police announced.
