The double crime allegedly involved two cars, one of which had the role of pursuit, while the other car fired a volley of shots at the vehicle driven by Kreshnik Mujeci.
The State Police claims to have solved the double murder that occurred on Sunday afternoon in Balldren, Lezha. The victims of the assassination were Kreshnik and Gentjana Mujeci (husband and wife).
The Director of the Lezha Local Police Directorate, Chief Arben Nasufi, said in a press conference that the crime occurred for revenge/blood feud motives, but the police have not yet been able to arrest the suspected perpetrators.
Nasufi said that one of the vehicles involved in the crime has been identified. It is an Audi A4 that followed the victims, who were traveling in their vehicle.
The police have announced a search for 3 people aged 22, 23 and 36, while conducting searches in their homes or in the area where it is believed they may have taken refuge, but were unable to arrest them.
"The investigations have continued with the review and administration of all video footage on the movement routes of the victims and perpetrators, the analysis of every piece of material evidence and as a result, one of the vehicles used by the perpetrators, an "Audi A4", has been identified."
"Following in-depth and professional investigations, analyzing every piece of evidence related to the incident, it was possible to identify the suspected perpetrators, specifically the citizens: AM, 22 years old, FM, 36 years old and RM, 23 years old, residents of Lezha," the Police announced.
However, so far the police have not been able to find and seize the vehicles and firearms that were used to commit the murder.

Director of the Lezha Local Police Directorate, Chief Arben Nasufi, conference regarding the clarification of the incident that occurred in the village of Balldren, on 26.04.2026.
On 26.04.2026, at around 14:50, on the “Balldren-Torovicë” road, unidentified citizens fired a gun at the vehicle driven by citizen Kreshnik Mujeci.
Upon receiving the notification, the Police and emergency services immediately arrived at the scene.
To investigate and clarify the incident, a special investigative group was established, with specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Department of the Lezha Police Department, the Criminal Police Department, as well as the best criminal experts, who, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, have intensively continued investigative actions at the scene and a series of other actions with proactive methods, in order to clarify and fully document the incident.
The investigations continued with the review and administration of all video footage on the movement routes of the victims and perpetrators, the analysis of every piece of material evidence and as a result, one of the vehicles used by the perpetrators, an "Audi A4", was identified.
Following in-depth and professional investigations, analyzing every piece of evidence related to the incident, it became possible to identify the suspected perpetrators, specifically the citizens:
-AM, 22 years old, FM, 36 years old and RM, 23 years old, residents of Lezha.
The dynamics of the incident show that the “Audi A4” vehicle was monitoring the movement of citizen Kreshnik Mujeci. Then, another vehicle, a “Volkswagen” without license plates, allegedly blocked the path of the vehicle in which citizen Kreshnik Mujeci was traveling, together with his wife, and the citizens who were in the vehicle fired a volley of weapons at his vehicle.
Further investigative actions suggest that the murder was committed for reasons of revenge.
Intensive investigations continue, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, for the full legal documentation of the event.
As for the perpetrators, after their identification, police structures conducted searches in several apartments and other premises, but they were not found. These citizens have been declared wanted.
The operation continues on the ground, involving the "RENEA" Special Forces, the National Security Forces and the operational structures of the Lezha Local Police Directorate, with the aim of locating and capturing them.
Also, work continues to locate and seize the vehicles and firearms used to commit the murder.
