Journalist Merin Maçi has spoken about the murder of 37-year-old Fatjon Dervishi in Sukth, who was executed with Kalashnikov fire while returning home.
According to him, the Durrës Police is working to clarify the incident and important evidence in their hands is the mobile devices of the victim.
"In May of last year, another event that was imported from abroad was the murder of Arben Merkuri, otherwise known as Maneci, a character who was also known by the police as a hired killer, which was revealed thanks to the arrest of two brothers , the Beqiraj brothers who confessed to this serious crime and led the police to confirm with legal evidence that this murder was ordered from abroad. This situation will always be problematic in the city of Durrës.
There is also the history of the victim, a part that is being investigated by the police, and what is worth emphasizing in the investigation so far is that the police have important evidence in their hands, in addition to the film footage, from where the perpetrators are thought to have moved, who had information about exactly for the entire itinerary of the victim and his friend, who was also the person who sent him to the hospital, and what surprises the investigators is that at no point is there a silhouette of the film cameras showing the perpetrators' car and a car that follows from behind, so the observation is made at a distance.
There are security cameras, there are images administered up to this moment by the Durrës police, but the way the assassins have chosen to protect their prey, in this case the 37-year-old, was well prepared and well organized, and the place where it was prepared has was precisely a well-thought-out place to be away from the eyes of people and away from the focus of security cameras in that area, for the sake of the elements that the Sukthi area has, it is well monitored by security cameras, which could make it difficult later and the removal of the perpetrators from the scene", Maçi told Euronews Albania.
