In addition to the theft in New Ring, at gunpoint, Tafani was previously convicted for the same criminal activity.
The robbery of 2015: On August 13, 2015, the arrest of a young man wanted by the police for the robbery of the Western Union in Lushnje was announced. At that time, the police emphasized that the arrest of 31-year-old Artan Tafani at the time, residing in the "Xhevdet Nepravishta" neighborhood of Lushnja, was made the day before, on August 12, 2015.
He was a member of Laert Haxhiu's group, and Haxhiu's name is among the names he has mentioned before the investigators for the murders that have been revealed. Laert Haxhiu is wanted for the Lushnja massacre in 2017, while several members were investigated and convicted in the double murder and wounding of two others. Zamir Latifi and Jurgen Hoxha were killed and Bujar Turku and Marius Xhepexhiu were injured, but their target, Xjulio Shkurti, the nephew of Aldo Bare, the leader of the Lushnja gang, survived. Laert Haxhiu is also suspected of the murder of Besmir Hida in 2019, the father of two children, who was executed while drinking coffee in a bar in the center of Lushnje. Haxhia has been sentenced to 18 years in prison by the Lushnja Court for the massacre of September 11, 2017. The author of the Lushnja massacre has been arrested in Greece and is expected to be extradited to Albania.
