The Tirana court has sentenced the young man Axel Hoxhaj to 18 years in prison, who during a physical conflict stabbed his peer, Stiven Toshkesi, to death. The criminal incident took place in April 2023 in the capital.
The court also found Ensi Maze, Hoxhaj's friend who participated in the fatal conflict, guilty of failing to report the crime, which, as the investigation revealed, had started due to the harassment of a girl.
According to the Tirana Court's decision, this conflict, although for weak motives, had engaged the two social groups of the defendant and the victim in finding information and each other's location.
Despite their commitment, the meeting at midnight on April 18, 2 years ago, was considered by the court to be coincidental.
According to reports, Axel Hoxhaj and Ensi Maze had a score (at least that's what they call it) with Stiven Toshkesi. They had previously clashed over the victim's girlfriend, who had fallen prey to constant harassment by the perpetrator Axel Hoxhaj. For this reason, Toshkesi had previously clashed with both of them. Shortly after midnight (April 18), the two young men waited for the victim to finish work and stabbed him, which unfortunately proved fatal.
