A stabbing occurred this morning in the Gjuhadol neighborhood of the city of Shkodra.
According to police, a foreign tourist, suspected to be an American, stabbed his wife to death and then injured himself. The crime took place in a rented apartment.
The blue uniforms report that after the crime, the man was transported to the hospital while intoxicated. He suffered minor injuries to his hands from cutting tools.
"Shkodër/Preliminary information/ At around 10:15, on "At Shtjefën Gjeçovi" street, in a rented apartment, it is suspected that the American citizen, SS, was murdered with a cutting tool.
Her cohabitant, an American citizen, was found in the apartment, and is suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder. This citizen was taken to the hospital for medical assistance, as he is suspected of being intoxicated and has minor injuries to his hands from cutting tools.
"The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify the circumstances and legally document the case," the police announced.
