The State Police has provided official information regarding the arrest of Agron Tufa, sentenced by the Court of Kruja to 30 years in prison.
Tufa is accused of murdering Kejsi Hysa in Nikël and then burning his body.
Meanwhile, Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, continue the procedures for Tufa's extradition to our country
"Consecutive operations continue in cooperation with partners, for the capture and extradition of citizens declared internationally wanted. The police operation coded "Information" is finalized by the State Police and the Italian Police. An internationally wanted citizen is captured in Bari, Italy , sentenced to 30 years in prison, for intentional homicide.
Following the tracking work with the aim of providing information on the location and capture of citizens wanted internationally for serious criminal offences, the Directorate for Serious Crimes in the Criminal Police Department of the State Police provided information regarding the exact location in Bari of Italy, of the internationally wanted citizen Agron Tufa, convicted by the Court of Kruja, with 30 years of imprisonment.
The information provided by the Directorate for Serious Crimes in the Department of Criminal Police in the State Police was exchanged in real time through Interpol Tirana with Interpol Rome and thanks to this information the Italian Police within the framework of the "Information" operation caught in Bari, Italy and arrested in order to extradite the wanted citizen Agron Tufa.
In 2021, the Court of Kruja sentenced this citizen to 30 years in prison for intentional homicide committed in cooperation and for illegal possession of weapons.
Citizen Agron Tufa, in cooperation with citizen HR, killed citizen KH with firearms in Nikël, Krujë, and then burned his body. "Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, is following the procedures for the extradition of this citizen to our country," the police announced.
