A 34-year-old Albanian was killed in Italy with a firearm.
According to the Italian media, Claudio Myrtaj was found dead in a craft workshop in the center of Vernante, in the Cuneo area, on via Umberto.
The victim was found with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to hospital but could not survive.
La Stampa, which has published the photo of the Albanian, writes that 34-year-old Klaudio Myrtaj was shot in the head with a pistol, allegedly with a silencer. His body was found in a workshop where he occasionally worked. Perhaps for this reason no gunshots were heard.
According to La Stampa, investigators suspect that the murder was motivated by jealousy. The cameras of the area have recorded a person suspected of being the author of the event.
The police are questioning several people as witnesses, including the 34-year-old's girlfriend. From the dynamics, the investigators have so far discovered that the perpetrator used a pistol with a silencer and waited until the owner left the workshop, who went to buy gasoline for the tractor. At this moment, the killer shot the Albanian with a pistol. For this reason, the investigations have been categorized as premeditated murder.
It was the owner of the workshop who alerted the police when he returned, after seeing the lifeless body of the 34-year-old.
Italian police are working to arrest the perpetrator of the murder.
Claudio Myrtaj had gone to Italy 2 years ago and worked on road construction sites.
He lived not far from the place where he was killed. He was known in the community as a hard-working man and kind to other residents of the area.
