A 40-year-old man has been criminally prosecuted, after he was caught with 25 thousand Swiss francs at the Morina Border Point.
During the physical check and the check in the bag of the 40-year-old, the Police services found the money, which he was trying to bring into our country, without declaring it in accordance with the laws in force.
Another case of non-declaration of significant sums of money at the border crossing point is struck. The 40-year-old man is being prosecuted for trying to smuggle 25,000 Swiss francs into our country. The monetary amount is seized.
In the framework of the intensification of entry/exit controls, by the Border Police of Morina, with a focus on preventing and combating illegalities at the border, at the entrance of RSh, the OA citizen has been passed to the second line, for detailed control
During the physical check and the check in the bag of this citizen, the Police services found 25,000 Swiss francs, which the citizen OA was trying to bring into our country, without declaring it in accordance with the laws in force.
Following the procedural actions, the investigative structures of DVKM Kukës referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in free status for the citizen OA, 40 years old, resident in Vlorë, for the criminal offense of "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border".
Also, the amount of money was seized as material evidence. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Kukës, for further actions.
