A 35-year-old man in Shkodra has been arrested and another person has been declared wanted for cultivating cannabis.

The police operation "Neonët 8" revealed that in the village of Boriç i Madh, 3 premises had been adapted for the cultivation of the narcotic plant, with electrical equipment supplied by illegal connections.

The police arrested Colonel Narkaj and 4 OSHEE employees, Valentin Kuvendaj, Xhuljano Ceraj, Faik Muselaj, Fatmir Kajoshaj, while another is being investigated at large for abuse of office.

Meanwhile, the search continues for the 36-year-old with the initials AG.

The police have seized 771 cannabis plants, 6 kg and 250 grams of cannabis plant material, 195 lamps, 21 extractor fans and 20 air filters that were used for cultivation, drying and processing for sale.

The materials were passed on to the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office for further action.
