The behind-the-scenes of the plan to close the National Historical Museum in 4 years is revealed. Early in the morning, the managers of the museum came out with a strange announcement, where they announced that until 2028 the Museum will be closed, as it will undergo restoration. Undoubtedly, there were a lot of reactions, since for 4 years you build the Museum from scratch, no longer restore it. The museum then removed the announcement from Facebook, raising even more doubts about what was cooking behind the scenes. But what is the project for the National History Museum?
In December 2023, an activity was held and the project for the restoration and remodeling of the Museum was presented there. The plan was drawn up by the architectural studio " Casanova + Hernandez architects ", a client of the government.
If we go to the site of this studio, the project for the Museum is also shown. And if we look at the plan, it's not the managers' fault that it takes many years to get the bars and restaurants ready. Even the square inside the Museum will be interfered with, as an underground floor will be built. So, to be more clear, the project envisages restaurants and coffee bars inside the Museum.
" The new public program consists of a cafe-restaurant, a library, a cafe-bar and a multifunctional space and some educational rooms located in a new basement located under the courtyard" , the project emphasizes.
According to the plan: The exhibition hall is extended into the public space with an outdoor exhibition space equipped with street exhibitors; The restaurant is located on the terrace; The story hall is expanded with an outdoor story lounge; The coffee bar extends to the terrace, located in the area in front of the Museum; The library and multifunctional space is expanded with an external auditorium; The educational rooms are extended with an outdoor educational space in the courtyard.
So in short, an underground floor will be built, the empty space in the middle of the Museum will be interfered with, and restaurants and coffee bars will be built. This is the plan, which will take 4 years of work. From a Historical Museum, which tells the history of the Albanian people since ancient times, it will now turn into an environment where you eat and drink. This clearly shows the affair that is being prepared. It should also be said that this is the initial plan, since it is not known how it ends on the road, it is not surprising to have a tower in the empty space inside the Museum. / Pamphlet
