"Zjerm" closes the final night, the artistic director of Eurovision

As 26 countries are expected to light up the Eurovision 2025 stage in Basel, Switzerland, the festival's artistic director, Christer Bjorkman, has revealed the reasons why he decided that San Marino and Albania would be the last two countries to perform on the final night.

San Marino took to the stage with Gabry Ponte's song "Tutta L'Italia", a festive anthem that invites the audience to dance, while Albania's "Zjerm" is an anthem of music, class and talent represented by "Shkodra Elektronike", which has attracted the attention of critics and the public for its unique combination of electronic rhythms with traditional Albanian elements.

" Yes, it is, but it's fun and classy. San Marino is definitely a fun piece for the audience, everyone sings, a great party. But we also wanted to close with something that is really classy and represents music, because that's what Albania represents. She's so talented, she's so smart and she's a beautiful piece so we wanted to have both at the end. It could have been the other way around, but it just seemed right to end this show with a classy performance ," said Bjorkman.

Shkodra Elektronike has also received the success for the final from the European Union Delegation in Tirana, which writes that "May "Zjermi" shine in Eurovision 2025" and invites citizens to vote for number 26.

"Shbrit, shbrit, shbrit! Much success to Shkodra Elektronike in the grand final of Eurovision with the song "Zjerm"! Tonight we vote for number 26," the post reads.

The Albanian performance will be the last on stage, in 26th place, which also coincides with the number of public votes.
