The third protest of the Democratic Party of Albania (DP) ended with a speech by the leader of the opposition, Sali Berisha. The speech lasted for about an hour and, like the last two rallies, was accompanied by banners and speeches.
There were no riots or incidents, while after Sali Berisha's speech, the Democrats dispersed peacefully. Again, the turnout was not large. Meanwhile, we recall that the DP itself has stated that its goal is not participation, but the determination to demand the removal of this government.
It is worth noting that the DP has decided to hold weekly rallies in front of the Prime Minister's Office, demanding the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku. This scenario began after what the DP calls a blockade in the Assembly. The opposition has requested investigative committees, interpellations or motions with debate, but has been rejected. For this reason, the Parliament has moved to the Prime Minister's Office where party representatives speak, but not only.
