The chairman of the Agrarian Environmentalist Party, Agron Duka, says the opposition is following a well-defined strategy for the May 11 elections, including the expertise of American electoral strategist Chris LaCivita - known for his role in US President Donald Trump's winning campaign.
Duka, who is part of the broad opposition coalition led by the Democratic Party, said that he has not had direct contact with LaCivita apart from an introductory meeting, but continues to follow the lines coming through the DP and which, according to him, are oriented by the American strategist.
"I met LaCivita once, during his presentation. He introduced himself as an electoral strategist. I did not have any direct contact with him, but through the DP we received orientations on the lines we should follow in the campaign," Duka said in the News24 studio.
He added that recently, in accordance with these advices, the opposition has begun to present itself in a united manner on various platforms, to strengthen the coalition's message and expand the electoral base.
"I believe that the knowledge and information that LaCivita has received through the DP has influenced its orientation towards creating the broadest possible coalition. This is in line with our objective of winning the elections," Duka concluded.
