The deputy of the Democratic Party, Ervin Salianji, has stated that the former leader of the DP, Lulzim Basha, is already an unwanted character for the democrats.
In an interview for abcnews, Salianji said that Basha has not scored any victory in the 9 years he was at the head of the party.
"The DP's conditions were for everyone to sit together and defeat the opponent with votes, but they do not want such a thing. There is a person who has lost every election, every political battle for 9 years, do you think that a man who was third in power would be voted for and would be hope for Albanians. Do you think that people who have not campaigned for a day and have no attitude would get votes no. These people would lead the PD logo to confiscation and if this continues, the logo will disappear", said Salianji.
Among other things, the democratic deputy emphasized the fact that the elections of May 14 were a loss for all the democrats, since the fight they have among themselves has also led to this situation. Also, Salianji demands that in order to have a revival of the DP, the principles must be changed and new characters must be included.
"There was a defeat of the democrats in the elections due to division and war with each other. On May 14, it is a loss for all parties, especially for the Logos Party, which is a large and traditional party that came out without a candidate and without votes, without a coordinated field without the involvement of deputies and those who have not fought at all. to receive the benefits, taking into account all this and the deformation of the results of the elections, all the leaders of the opposition have a fault. The DP needs to be redone from the figures, from the approaches and they need to redo a winning opposition and not a wretched one", said the democratic deputy.
