The former prime minister, Sali Berisha, from the window of the apartment where he is under house arrest, spoke about Albania's membership in NATO and the country's situation today.
On the 15th anniversary of Albania's membership in NATO, Berisha accused Prime Minister Rama of de facto removing the country from the Alliance. According to him, the Alliance is the club of free democratic countries, while Edi Rama stole the vote of the Albanians.
"Today, after 15 years, Albania is de facto no longer a political member of the North Atlantic Alliance, as Edi Rama has kicked every major political principle of this alliance. The Alliance is the club of free democratic countries, while Edi Rama has stolen the Albanians' vote , does not hold free elections, does not allow rotation, has concentrated all the powers in his black hands. Edi Rama with his de facto regime is taking Albania more and more away from NATO every day.
He has imposed on his citizens the regime of the greatest theft in their history. He decided in Albania, the political arrests and the attempt to eradicate the opposition. Edi Rama built in these years, in a NATO member country, the first and only narco-state in NATO and in Europe. Edi Rama, just like Oleg Deripaska, paid the US chief detective with crime money to show that he is also a villain like the Russian villain and nothing else," said Berisha.
