The deputy of the Democratic Party, Dhurata Çupi, speaking about the SP-Rithemelim agreement, said that political agreements between the majority and the opposition are always expected by the citizens.
In an interview for the show "Real Story" on 'ABC News', Çupi also spoke about the division of the opposition. She said that they themselves are responsible for the division of the Democratic Party.
" Political agreements are always expected by citizens. The truth must be accepted, that the majority of the opposition is on the side of Mr. Berisha, that the majority of the Parliamentary Group is on the side of Mr. Berisha, you can't pretend that I don't see it and that I don't understand it. At the moment when all the structures are in all of Albania, where several municipalities are won by Mr. Berisha, where there are structures in all of Albania, there is the largest Parliamentary Group, we who were in the middle joined together to give the approach of unification, don't let's forget that we have a monster government in front of us, let's not forget that Albanians are fleeing abroad.
Who is running this country? We have regressive OSCE reports these last 10 years. I am an oppositionist. The moment the mandates were left, there was a withdrawal and intimidation of the majority. We have done it to ourselves, we are divided, while we have a government, prime minister, super corrupt system" , she emphasized.
