Will the opposition disappear? Gjekmarkaj: PD needs new leadership

The rift within the Democratic Party has often led to hints that the opposition may disappear.

Democratic deputy Agron Gjekmarkaj, speaking about the debates within the DP, denied such a thing.

According to him, PD is not in danger of disappearing, but it needs new leadership.

"It seems like a time of mourning. Since the day I entered politics, there has been an internal debate. In the public realm, one understands many phenomena and in the end, I believe, one has gained something. I think it is the voters who determine the cessation of a party's existence. DP exists and I don't think it is in danger of disappearing because it has the electorate and with a remake of DP, modernization, elections, new leadership, change of language, discourse, platform, offers, professionals. You can't claim that society follows you if you don't read its dynamics", said Gjekmarkaj on ABC News.
