The head of "Nisma Thurje" Endri Shabani has responded to allegations that he and Adriatik Lapaj are funded by George Soros' foundations.
Shabani has accused former Prime Minister Berisha of being the person most funded by Soros, through his daughter and son-in-law. He says that he first heard Soros' name from the democratic leader during the inauguration of a school when he was still a child.
"The video is from 2014 where we called the media to promote a project that has citizens who do not have money for a lawyer and the "Open Society" foundation paid for the lawyer for those citizens who did not have money. They want to create the belief that these are like us, but if it were that my cooperation with Soros would be a kind of addiction, the person most financed by Soros was Sali Ramë Berisha. Berisha brought Soros to Albania. I was in elementary school at "Ali Demi". In 1996, the school was restored with Soros funds and Berisha came to promote it. There I heard Soros for the first time and he said this great philanthropist. He introduced him, then his daughter Argita and son-in-law Jamarbër had an association called "Perla", they received lek and are busy with projects. Receiving lek from Soros is not an obstacle to speaking against Soros" , Shabani told "A2 Cnn".
According to Shabani, these are Berisha's efforts as they have nothing else to say about the two new parties.
"These are Berisha's efforts. When they insult someone or accuse them of being a Soros agent, Trump means they haven't found anything. You don't have to mention Berisha's money from Soros, just mention the people he killed on the boulevard and in Gërdec, you understand the reason why he shouldn't be in power, but we haven't been in power, we haven't killed or stolen anyone, and they're making this up," he said.
Asked about Berisha's invitation to new parties, Shabani said that it would be more sincere to extend this invitation to Rama, since according to him, they are united by the same mission against justice, while they have nothing in common with them.
"Our goal is to strengthen SPAK and GJKKO so that whoever is appointed to that position understands that they came to politics to serve and not for them to become billionaires and for us to leave our country. Berisha has openly said that he wants power to dismantle SPAK, the same goes for Rama. Our goal is for these people to leave politics. The wealth they stole from us to be confiscated, for them to suffer for this and go to prison. Their goal is to stay where they are. Nothing unites us with them. I would make this call to Rama because they have the same mission in relation to SPAK, thefts, they voted on two agreements together. It would be more honest to make it to Rama than to the young people ," Shabani concluded.
