Do corrupt officials benefit from Criminal Amnesty? MP Qefalia answers

Today's guest on the "Te Pashoq" podcast is Socialist MP Xhemal Qefalia. He will talk about the political situation, but especially about what is happening in the SP.

Asked why the Socialist Party withdrew from the law on Criminal Amnesty, the SP deputy said the reason was because they did not have the number of votes.

He adds that all amnesties are passed in the Assembly with a full understanding, they cannot be passed with only one political direction. The rules of the Assembly oblige you that the Amnesty is voted on with 84 votes and we did not fulfill them.

Qefalia emphasizes that the SP again gave the opportunity to the opposition, the PDIU and other parties to agree on the adoption of the Amnesty law. He adds that the SP has made a voted appeal to all deputies.

While being asked if the corrupt officials will benefit from the approval of the Amnesty, the SP deputy stated that the opposition has not come up with any concrete name and we are not favoring those convicted by the Court. He adds that the Amnesty is not for nominal names but for criminal offenses.
