Former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj declared on Monday evening that Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha was dismissed by Prime Minister Edi Rama while he was leading the tax investigation.
Ahmetaj, in an interview for 'Çim Peka Live' on Syri TV, revealed that when he was Minister of Finance, he was asked to remove Ervin Hoxha, the current Minister of Interior, from his post.
"Yes, yes, he has requested his resignation and I told him, Mr. Prime Minister, can you bring me the facts about this man when he requested his dismissal. Out of respect for the employees who worked with me, because he worked with me. I am angry because I once supported him, I am angry, I don't know why, but he dealt with my sister, he and Belinda. They fired him from his job. But that is a separate story. He and Belinda Balluku dealt with my sister and fired her from her job. They fired my sister, my brother-in-law, my ex-wife was fired, massacred from all sides every kind of person who had anything to do with me.
"Yes, yes, when I was finance minister, this (Ervin Hoxha) was dismissed by order of the prime minister and I said to him, can you tell me what he did? I know that, he said, that man is corrupt. Today he is the interior minister. And to his shame, he will be left with the impression for the rest of his life that he was appointed by crime and made that kind of arrest that is dirty in the eyes of Albanians, the arrest of the former president," said Ahmetaj.
