Adriatik Lapaj has once again responded to criticism for filling the closed part of the lists of candidates for MPs of the "Albania Becomes Initiative" coalition with fictitious candidates for the May 11 parliamentary elections.
Through a video on social media, Lapaj states that this addition of the closed part of the list of candidates for MPs, with fictitious contestants, is intended to directly test the coalition's real candidates in the electorate.
Treating this method chosen by the "Albania Initiative" coalition as a mistake, for Lapaj, is an attempt to manipulate public opinion.
"After we ranked ourselves on closed lists to go to parliament without competition according to the old political model, where some work for others, now completely complicated by our decision to enter the competition with open lists and to rank all of us in the competition with open lists, they have started throwing mud and stones to tell us and expose us before the people as people who are committing a great sin by competing on open lists. Dear friends, for these two years we have fought since the collection of 21 thousand signatures, the writing of the draft law and up to the constitutional court to open the law on lists and for this we will fight until the end, and so we are in this race to go to parliament with open lists. Either we go with competition or we never go. Do not be manipulated. Take their mud and stones, and with their mud let us create the humus necessary to grow this new tree of change in the homeland, and with their stones "We build the bridge to end the Albanian transition, and through the votes tomorrow in parliament we can force this evil system to transform and open the competition for the best to lead us in every area of life. I greet you," said Lapaj.
What added to the criticism of this way of going to the elections for Lapaj's coalition was the ranking of the latter's father in first place on the closed list for the Berat District.
