Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, has expressed her confidence in a victory for the DP in Tirana, saying that the party will secure 19 mandates in the elections.
In an interview for the show "Log." on News 24, Tabaku emphasized that this victory is part of a battle for democracy and expressed confidence in strengthening the DP's positions.
According to her, the DP's calculations are optimistic, aiming to get more than half of the votes in Tirana. She noted that this result is not only based on the result of the 2021 elections, but also on recent changes, citing as a fact the destruction of the 5D scheme and the blow that the Socialist Party's electoral machine has received.
Tabaku expressed confidence that recent events will positively impact the DP campaign.
"We are fighting for democracy. The DP without fear in Tirana wins 19 mandates. The DP is calculating to take more than half of Tirana. This calculation does not come only from the 2021 result, but also from recent events. Let's not forget that the 5D scheme has been destroyed, the SP electoral machine has taken a strong blow," says Tabaku.
