The residents of Kamza have reported to SPAK the socialist mayor of Kamza, Rakip Suli, where they accuse him of several violations and corruption.
In a statement to the media, lawyer Adriana Kalaja also listed the reasons for the report. According to her, SPAK submitted the audit of KLSH, where many violations were found.
"Today we have presented the way in which municipal councilors are notified to hold online meetings, this is contrary to the law on local self-government, but also contrary to the regulation of the municipal council itself.
The opposition councilors have long been asking the mayor and the municipal council to provide them with a regulation on how the municipal council works, and even today, when we came to SPAK, this regulation is not available.
Before SPAK, we presented the audit report of KLSH, which found many legal violations, criminal offenses related to corruption. Mainly, these criminal offenses are related to the way in which the expenses determined by the previous municipal council were invested and in relation to the legal provisions that corresponded to the value of 3% of social housing, the law which was changed contrary to the constitution with a VKM obtained in 2019 at the time when this municipality had autonomy from the SP participants.
In all of these criminal offenses that we denounce today, the representatives of the BF coalition have requested that not only the mayor, but also the municipal council take a stand that, contrary to the law, demand that the meeting be held online, but also for the decisions that take secretly. We hope that SPAK will hold the mayor, the chairman of the municipal council and other officials accountable", said lawyer Adriana Kalaja.
