Basha launched the campaign, CDU MP speaks: They want to hinder the work of

Hans-Joachim Falenski, advisor to the CDU spokesman in the Bundestag for European affairs, gave several messages today at the opening of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition's election campaign with political leader Lulzim Basha.

In his speech, Falenski emphasized the CDU's support for SPAK and condemned efforts to obstruct justice, including the amnesty initiative.

He stated that the country needs a modern policy that places the citizen at the center, and he finds this vision in the Euro-Atlantic Coalition:

“I find these forces here, you, the warriors of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition. Warriors for democracy and the rule of law with the means of law and democracy.” And this awakening says: Enough with corruption! Enough with personal enrichment! Enough with nepotism! Enough with economic chaos!

What Albania needs today more than ever are modern political forces, that think and act in a modern way.  And I find these forces here in this hall – you, the warriors of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition. Fighters for democracy and the rule of law with the means of law and democracy.

Albania is not where it could have been already on its path to the EU, because the Albanian government does not have the political will or the ability to solve the assigned tasks.

Albania is not where it could have been already, because the forces that want and can move the country forward towards the EU have been thwarted!  To put it clearly: we, the CDU/CSU-led government, want Albania to be in the EU as soon as possible!

Fight against corruption: Yes, there has been progress in this area. But this has only been achieved through the good work of the Special Anti-Corruption Structure SPAK – despite opposition from the government and parliament! For example, through the amnesty law there has been a significant step backwards, freeing 40 people convicted of corruption and reducing the sentences of 65 others. And the efforts by the government and parliament to hinder the successful work of SPAK are increasing. We will not allow this! This will meet our strongest opposition! ", said Falenski.
