The Socialist Party has officially launched its campaign for the May 11 elections with a meeting organized in Skanderbeg Square, a day after Socialist leader Edi Rama met with socialist women and girls, whom he considered the greatest guarantee that this party has in winning the electoral battles.
At the campaign opening rally, political leaders in the country's 12 regions will address the attendees with messages, while at the end, Prime Minister Edi Rama will deliver the closing speech.
A few minutes before the start of the campaign's opening rally, Edi Rama has published a video on social networks, where he tries on a pair of sneakers, where the number 5 is clearly visible. In this way, in addition to the hat and T-shirts with the number 5, Edi Rama has also chosen a pair of sneakers that have the number 5.
The Socialist Party and Edi Rama are seeking a fourth consecutive mandate in the May 11 elections, while the Prime Minister has declared that victory is certain. He has set a target for the May 11 elections of 1 million votes, which the Socialist Party has never achieved alone, although in 2013, when it took office for the first time as Prime Minister, it was voted for by 1 million citizens, but it was in coalition with other parties, including Ilir Meta's LSI.
The Socialist Party is ranked 5th on the ballot, while Edi Rama heads the list of candidates for deputy in the Tirana District. Rama has nominated the majority of the socialist parliamentary group on the open list, which means that many of the names risk being part of the new Parliament that emerges from the May 11 elections.
