Former prime minister Sali Berisha has issued strong accusations against the mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj regarding the connection with the incinerator affair. At the weekly conference with journalists, Berisha stated today that emails and messages have been discovered that sink the mayor in this scandal.
According to Berisha, SPAK has data showing how Veliaj orders the owners of the incinerators to pay the media close to him.
" What are the recent discoveries? The latest revelations prove what I have consistently stated to you. The company is owned by Erion Veliaj. Today, in the SPAK file there are messages, emails, in which the owner of the non-existent burner, Erion Veliaj, ordered Mërtir to give 200 thousand euros to Karlo Bolino, 100 thousand euros to Fuga, 100 thousand euros to Blushi. The list goes on, but I'll stop with these three. So it was this first owner who ordered so much money to be given to this or that. This is the truth. Why did I say this here? I said this first in support of the thesis that I have put forward that entrepreneurship can never be Mertiri-Zoto. This can never happen. I have also been told the percentages of Veliaj's shares. But I am holding back ," Berisha declared.
He further states that there are attempts to disappear the cocoons from the Tirana incinerator file. He called on the honest prosecutors, as he called them, not to allow such a thing.

Berisha stated that the chili company has government owners, while Zoto and Mërtiri are simply owners on paper and maybe shareholders to a certain degree. According to him, an official could never allow himself such signatures and such acts.
