Former Prime Minister Berisha reacted after the statement of the American Embassy, which stated that it has not changed its position on non-women in Albania, referring to Berisha.
He said that he is inspired by his idol Martin Luther King who, according to Berisha, fought for the truth.
"Half of the message says that the US does not interfere in the internal affairs of the parties, which is exactly what I welcome. If there is one person who has made every effort in 32 years for Albanians to elect people with their vote, it is Sali Berisha. I will tell you something very private. Everyone has their idols. The idol of my life has been Martin Luther King. When I found theses and writings in the dictatorship, he impressed me and influenced me. He inspired every man who fights for the truth. This is the reply to the message.
For the others, I can say that yesterday was characterized by ugly performances in the Parliament, by Edi Rama's attempt to appoint the chairman of the parliamentary group, to kick the fundamental law of the Parliament, to appoint the co-chairman of the opposition in the Electoral Commission. And who would he take there? The man who votes for his wife's salary. Increasing the salary of women as much as 117 pensioners. Without the votes of Ali Basha, the law does not pass. The problem is that votes are being traded to set a standard that does not exist anywhere in the world.
