The former head of the State Information Service (SHISH), Fatos Klosi, says that Sali Berisha was the main beneficiary of the murder of Azem Hajdari, who was executed near the former DP headquarters, 25 years ago.
Klosi said that Sali Berisha has always deceived and fabricated events for the purpose of his political propaganda.
" I am surprised by the fact that you still deal with Berisha! Berisha is the man who deceives the most out of all who fabricates events in the function of his politics and with the Hajdari case he treated it as he wanted. He continues to use it. There were a lot of clues. He helped! From a general point of view, Berisha benefited from the killing of Azem Hajadri. He had seriously threatened Berisha for the leadership of the DP. I was not in Tirana at that time, we had warned Azem and we knew that he was threatened. "- said Klosi.
Klosi recalled that Sali Berisha, just a few minutes after the murder, came out publicly and dropped accusations and even claimed that he knew who the killers were.
"Berisha has never accepted to be a witness. I know that the prosecution claimed to ask him. But a few minutes after the murder, Sali Berisha turned out to know who the killers were. Only 20 minutes he was the first to show that I know everything. Berisha made political statements and continues to say so. It has taken him a little until now" - said Klosi.
According to Klos, Berisha was questioned only once by the Tirana police, once for which he was very scared because, according to him, he knows that he has many crimes on his shoulders.
Focusing on Rama's request that SHISH be included in the corruption investigation of high officials, a few days ago in the Assembly of the SP, Klosi said that the head of the government did not have to do it publicly, since according to him SHISH is an institution depending on the prime minister.
" SHISH's main duty is to follow up on all phenomena that affect national security. But it is not SHISH that follows such phenomena within the government. It is prohibited by law. The service cannot work against MPs and ministers. They have the interception, but that is done by the prosecution. The prosecution cooperates with SHISH, but it cannot aim to pursue high-ranking state officials. For them it is its very structure. Rama will show that with this he is open. Rama has the tools, the Service is his subordinate. He shouldn't have made that statement. He didn't have to do it on TV. "- said Klosi.
