For the third day in a row, the Special Court is holding the hearing for the assessment of the security measure for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha. The sessions have failed for two days in a row, while today the former prime minister Berisha will be defended by the two state lawyers Jalldiz Kastrati and Rabie Cenalia, who have arrived at the session. Former Prime Minister Berisha has been forced to appear and banned from leaving the country, as he is being investigated for corruption with the privatization of the former Partizani complex.
The day before, the lawyers left the session with the argument that the Court rejected several requests they made, including the exclusion of Judge Irena Gjoka from the trial of the case and the rejection of the request to send the case to the Constitutional Court for the interpretation of the decision on the measure "obligation to appear" for the former prime minister.
