The Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali met with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and the Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar during her visit to the USA.
Spiropali has revealed that the two have talked extensively about relations between the two countries, Albania's role in the region and the close partnership in NATO and the Security Council.
Kosovo was also a topic of discussion, with Spiropali saying that he discussed with Escobar the full integration of not only Albania, but also Kosovo in the EU and the Serbian terrorist attack in the North.

We talked extensively about the special relations between our two countries, the important role of Albania in the region, the close partnership in NATO and the Council of Security, the US support for the full integration of Albania, Kosovo and the Western Balkans in the EU, the Serbian terrorist attacks in the north of Kosovo and the need for accountability from Serbia, the conclusion of the necessary dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia for normalization and recognition, as well as the deepening of the strategic partnership between our two countries," wrote Spiropali.
