The Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, requested during the plenary session that the demands presented by the DP parliamentary group be included in the agenda, stating that they are consistent with the demands of citizens protesting outside the Parliament.
In his speech, Noka accused the majority of prioritizing its own demands, while, according to him, neglecting and refusing to consider the opposition's proposals. He said that this course of action is unacceptable and undermines the normal functioning of Parliament.
The Democrat said that the protesters outside the Parliament building are citizens who want to be heard and that the opposition's demands reflect their concerns. According to Noka, the majority is turning the Parliament into a degraded institution and reducing its authority.
During his speech, Noka also used harsh language towards the Socialist MPs, addressing them with the term "scumbags", while asking the chair of the session to urgently include the Democratic Party's demands on the agenda.
"What is happening is a shame for any parliament. The group brought you a request and you are treating it with urgency, while a request from our group, a request that is completely in line with the protests, you are neglecting and throwing it in the trash."
"They are citizens, this is the country's opposition. You are turning the Assembly into a parliamentary bloc. It is turning into the most humiliated institution. You are a bunch of scoundrels, I didn't want to tell you but I have no choice. Urgently put our demands on the Agenda ," he said.
