Thus, Rama seems to be winning the game and, despite the flagrant violations of every concept of the rule of law, he is taking the Himar Municipality, which he wants to keep under control to serve the interests that are close to the Prime Minister and are interested in " tourism development" in this area. With this method, Rama believes that he is neutralizing the pressure of Athens, which requested permission for the oath until the end of the case, and at the same time he will have the freedom of movement to appoint a temporary president of his choice and possibly announce new elections in Himara.
Beler's sentence was predetermined and Rama did not hesitate for a moment to implement this brazen plan, counting on the indifference to this issue of the EU and the US, since the only reactions came from Athens, which has raised obstacles to the European road of Albania. Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece also reacted, questioning the violation of the rule of law and questioning the legality of the process so far.
“Qeveria greke do të monitorojë nga afër çështjen dhe pret një gjykim të drejtë dhe objektiv në shkallën e dytë të juridiksionit”. Askush nuk e pret që në Gjykatën e Apelit çështja Beleri të ketë një fat ndryshe nga GJKKO, e cila tregoi se thjesht po zbaton urdhrat e lidershipit politik. Dhe me këtë formulim legjitimohet në thelb argumenti i palës shqiptare se e gjithë çështja Beleri është një çështje që po hetohet nga drejtësia e “pavarur” shqiptare dhe kësisoj nuk duhet të ketë ndërhyrje nga jashtë në punën e saj. Problematike është edhe fakti që nuk përmendej detyrimi i qeverisë shqiptare për të njohur rezultatet e zgjedhjeve në Himarë.
Pyetja e madhe tani është nëse Athina, pavarësisht mjedisit jo fort të favorshëm, do të insistojë në ushtrimin e presionit ndaj Tiranës për t’i dhënë mundësinë një gjykimi të drejtë dhe, së dyti, për të shfajësuar Belerin, në mënyrë që ai të marrë përsipër detyrën e tij në Bashkinë e Himarës, apo do të pranojë talljet e deritanishme të autoriteteve shqiptare që çuan në një grusht shteti shkarkimin e Belerit nga posti i kryetarit të Bashkisë së Himarës. Hapat e ardhshëm nuk kufizohen vetëm në mbrojtjen e të drejtave të Belerit dhe respektimin e vullnetit të qytetarëve himariotë të shprehur në zgjedhjet e majit 2023, por mbi të gjitha Rama nuk duhet të mendojë se tani ka një “çek bosh. në mënyrë që të nisë planet për “rigjenerimin dhe zhvillimin turistik” të Himarës me sekuestrimin e pronave greke.
Sepse nuk duhet harruar se çështja Beleri është maja e ajsbergut përsa i përket mbrojtjes së të drejtave të pakicës kombëtare greke në Shqipëri, ndërsa Athina ende pret që zoti Rama të përmbushë angazhimin për referimin e mosmarrëveshjes së kufirit detar në Hagë. Por qeveria greke nuk mund dhe nuk duhet të lejojë faktin e kryer që ishte Rama ai që vendosi me këtë urdhër gjykate. Marrëdhëniet e mira me Shqipërinë duhet të jenë synimi, por ato nuk mund të ndërtohen mbi këtë bazë, pasi çështja Beleri nuk ka të bëjë vetëm me një kryetar bashkie të zgjedhur nga minoriteti, por të gjithë pakicën kombëtare greke dhe mënyrën se si e trajton qeveria shqiptare. Dhe sigurisht e gjithë kjo është një shembull sesi vetë kryeministri shqiptar i trajton marrëdhëniet me Greqinë, duke pasur parasysh se do të vendosë kushte dhe Athina zyrtare thjesht duhet t’i pranojë.

My crime is that my fellow Himariotes elected me mayor against the plans of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama. European Union and USA, is this the justice you want for us? I will continue my fight for Justice and Democracy on behalf of my fellow citizens. Sooner or later I will find justice. I have enough patience to get to the end of this case."
