Greek media attacks and accusations about Fredi Beleri's sentence to 2 years in prison, but they have also released secrets...
The Greek media have launched an attack after Fredi Beleri was sentenced to 2 years in prison. This decision resonated more in Athens than in Tirana. And as expected, there are many of those who attack the Albanian state and justice.
Stavros Tzimas wrote an article today in " Kathimerini ", which, in addition to attacking Edi Rama and GJKKO, brought out an interesting detail. According to him, Beler's conversations with Greek officials were leaked to the Albanian media and if they manage to be published, Athens will be put in a lot of trouble.
" The developments are ongoing and the recorded conversations of Beler with government officials in Greece have been leaked to the Albanian media, which, if they see the light of publication, could put Athens in a difficult position ," the article says.

The conviction of Fredi Beleri by the Tirana Court today did not surprise anyone. On the contrary, his release would be a surprise, because in that case the decision would be a blow to Edi Rama. In other words, his "independent justice" would exonerate Beleris. And for those who know what Rama is as a personality, a judicial development different from the current one could not exist.
The decision to punish Beleris if it wasn't part of his plan, which logic says it was, certainly serves his burning desire to see Beleris hanged on the political gallows, to get him out of political action, and of course not allowed to take office as mayor.
At the time of writing, it was not known whether the Beleris side would appeal against the first-instance decision – but it is safe to say that they will exercise that right.
However, there should be no illusions about the Court of Appeal. At most reduce the sentence to "equivalent" to the time in custody and release Beleris or grant him the right to serve his sentence under house arrest.
Rama is not so concerned about whether Beleris will be in or out of prison, even though he is noted for his revenge as a personality, as to exterminate him politically. In this case, he should not have the right to participate in the new elections for the mayor of Himara, which, as Rama himself stated, will be announced after the Beleris trial is over.
And with a final conviction on his record, the elected-but-never-sworn-in mayor will not be able to run.
It will be interesting to see what the next moves of Greek foreign policy will be and how the European and American allies, who have so far turned a blind eye to Rama, will react.
