The commanding mayor of the Municipality of Himara, Blerina Bala, has today resigned from her position due to personal reasons and the impossibility of carrying out her duties.

Now according to the law on the functioning of the local government, it will be the Municipal Council of Himara that will meet to vote and command another mayor.

It is learned that the socialists have the name and are likely to propose Arqile Bollanon.

On Friday, the meeting of the Himarë Municipality Council will take place to elect one of the two vice-mayors, Pervin Gjikuria and Arqile Bollano, to the post of mayor.

Blerina Bala was elected the new leader of the municipality of Himara, with 15 votes in favor in the Municipal Council, since Fredi Beleri and Jorgo Goro are in prison.

Bala was a member of the Socialist Party and vice president for some time in the municipality of Himara.
