Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha explained why his defense lawyers requested the dismissal of Judge Irena Gjoka. According to him, by signing the measure against him, Gjoka has 'violated' the Constitution.
"They demanded based on the fact that she 'wrote' the Constitution on her desk in the most criminal way. Therefore, she does not deserve a minute to be in that position. I assure him that the legal procedure will continue to pursue this problem to the end. A judge cannot write the Constitution", said Berisha.
Berisha emphasized that in the SPAK file on the privatization of the Partizani complex, there are no charges against him or his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, who is currently in prison.
"There is no charge brought by justice. No charges have been filed, they were unable to, despite their extreme evil, they have engaged in manipulation, hiding documents and in 200 pages, after 3 years, they have not been able to file any charges. No charges have been filed. Their document sends us to court, me, my son-in-law and Fatmir Bektashi, a builder to my correct knowledge and who has followed the laws, these 3 people are sent to court, as persons under investigation. They haven't opened a criminal case, they haven't filed a criminal lawsuit against us because they haven't found anything. They have not found any evidence or document to prove that the smallest legal violation was committed", said Berisha in a press conference.
