SPAK has today issued an arrest warrant for the former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako under the charge of corruption, thus causing another close friend of Prime Minister Edi Rama to fall into the net of justice.
Prime Minister Rama has openly declared his friendship with Dako before, and he even defended the former mayor even when the USA declared him a person non grata.
In 2020, during a television interview, Rama was asked by journalists about the accusations that the US State Department had about Dako, but he answered that DASH does not dictate his friendship.
Rama even added that even if Dako ends up in prison, he was, is and will remain his friend.
' The State Department does not dictate friendship to me. I have Dako as a friend. I'm saying it here, even if Dako goes to prison, he is still my friend' , declared Rama.
Now that Dako is in handcuffs, it remains to be seen if Rama will declare again that he is his friend, or if he will change his attitude as he has done in other cases./ Pamphlet
