After a year-long "truce", Ankara seems to have launched a new offensive against the Albanian Muslim Community these days. Taking advantage of a relative withdrawal of American attention from Tirana, as a result of developments in the Middle East, Erdogan seems to have launched his media 'missiles' to 'bombard' the Albanian Muslim Community.
The goal seems clear, to take control of this institution. Such an attempt was stopped only thanks to the energetic intervention of the US three years ago, when it became clear to Ankara that any further attempt to destabilize the Albanian Muslim Community would bring serious consequences and public exposure of the networks of influence it finances in Albania.
The resumption of the attack seems to have also come from panic. One reason may be the appointment of Special Forces General Eric Wendt as ambassador to Tirana. It is likely that Ankara is anticipating an even stronger blockade of its operations in the Balkans, as well as other developments that may be related to broader regional issues. But this is a separate issue.
The first shell did not come directly from Ankara, but from one of the media outlets it financed in Tirana. It was this media outlet, which during the conflict with Iran openly supported the ayatollahs, that launched the attack on the number two of the Albanian Muslim Community, Islam Hoxha.
Islam Hoxha is both the chairman of the General Council of the KMSH and the mufti of Kamza, a territory that after Tirana has one of the largest concentrations of Muslim believers. The attack against him was based on accusations of nepotism with the head of the KMSH, but without any concrete evidence. The only hypothesis used was the common origin of the two from a village in Kukës.
Then came another accusation, that the fact that he was among the first to study theology in Turkey links him to Gülen. This accusation contradicts itself. On the one hand, Turkey, Erdogan and the Ottoman heritage are glorified, while on the other hand, a cleric is attacked simply because he was educated in Turkey.
However, the attack is valuable not for what it says, but for what it reveals. It shows the direction of the blow that Ankara intends to deliver to the KMSH. Erdogan is not directly hitting the head of the institution. He is trying to take the wings, weaken his circle and gradually surround him.
This is the same method that was used three years ago with the former mufti of Tirana, who was lynched in the Kavaja Street mosque, an institution that Ankara completely controls. That clash was resolved through an agreement, after the KMSH, with the intervention of the Americans, found a compromise formula for the appointment of the mufti of Tirana, who also controls the great mosque of Namazgja.
Although this mufti does not openly align himself, he is seen as part of the Ankara community. Apparently, he was the compromise that the US offered Erdogan to stop the frontal war against the Albanian Muslim Community. But it seems that Ankara is not satisfied with that.
After taking over the mufti of Tirana and after Namazgjaja has turned into a center with an openly anti-American and anti-Semitic spirit in the middle of Tirana, now the mufti of Kamza is also being sought, with the aim of surrounding the head of the KMSH and leaving the institution without internal support.
All likelihood is that this attack will escalate at least until the beginning of the summer, when the procedures for the arrival of the new American ambassador in Tirana are completed. There is a high possibility that he will intervene strongly to stop the anti-American and anti-Semitic agent games that are taking place in Albania under the cover of religion and the media./ Pamphlet

Problemi nuk është Islam Hoxha dhe karakteri i tij. Problemi është shumë i madh: Erdogan dëshiron të krijojë një Shqipëri "pro-Erdogan". Ai ka krijuar alternativa ndaj shëndetësisë, arsimit dhe tani KMSH-së. Kush po fiton këtu? Shqiptarët po radikalizohen. Islami sunit do të hyjë në çdo shtëpi. Shumë më shumë altoparlantë nga minaret, përsëri e përsëri, me thirrjet më të gjata dhe emocionuese për lutje. Do ta mbyll berberhanen time (pa nevojë më pas) dhe do të hap një dyqan për të shitur shami koke për të gjitha gratë. Rama po mbetet indiferent ndaj këtij problemi social dhe po takohet vetëm me financuesit e Erdoganit. Ai nuk po takon biznesmenë të BE-së, pse?
