Surprised as much as anyone else who heard about the meeting hastily called by Edi Rama, he spoke about repeating the messages and orders that Rama left two weeks ago.
Then the question that is rightly asked in this case is this: What did Edi Rama need another assembly 10 days later? It all seems to be a forced propaganda move the day after the opposition protest, where there was apparently a large turnout in the square.
In the late hours of last evening, after the opposition protest and Rama's dinner with Erdogan in Ankara had ended, a surprise announcement about today's assembly arrived in the WhatsApp groups of the socialists along with the link for online participation. Only the political leaders of the regions and the ministers of the government cabinet were physically present at the SP headquarters.
To give it more meaning and packaging as an allegedly important meeting, Rama once again forced the leaders of the districts to report from the beginning on the state of the party in their areas, on socialist organizations, on new memberships and internal elections.
Then he himself went to the SP headquarters in front of the journalists, not by chance at 19:00 when the evening news editions start, to occupy all the screens with the supposedly big event that was happening in the pink headquarters. With the zeal to serve his power, the media gave exactly the echo that Rama wanted even though in today's meeting there was no news, no important event, no element to be recorded.

It is a party that no longer even represents the values of the left and where not a single particle of internal democracy is left.
Embarrassed by the opposition's protest, Edi Rama definitely needed a new political event to show the public opinion that he too is mobilized, he needed this show with the socialist assembly to somehow dissipate the echo of last night's protest on the boulevard.
And as in any case that the copy is uglier than the original, today's assembly after the dinner with Erdogan in Ankara was uglier than what we saw in Xibraku 10 days ago, where the socialists entered and exited with their heads down, waiting with ears openly whatever Edi Rama had to say about Arben Ahmetaj's serious accusations.
