The General Prosecutor's Office has addressed a letter to the Greek authorities, requesting from them the criminal file of the sentence against the mayor of Kučovo, Kreshnik Hajdari.

The letter was officially sent in the middle of June 2023, where it is expected that the General Prosecutor's Office will be officially recognized with the criminal file of the conviction of Kreshnik Hajdari, from the court of Ioannina.

The confirmation of sending the order letter to Greece is done through a letter from prosecutor Kostaq Beluri, who says in the document that they have not yet received an official response from the Greek authorities regarding this request.

The document states that in the month of May 2023, fingerprint data were taken from the "ALEAT" company, as well as other biometric data.

All these data for this citizen have been sent to the Greek authorities, with the aim of comparing them for the case of Hajdar's conviction or even comparing them with every fingerprint they have in their data bank.

The mayor of Kuçovo Municipality, Kreshnik Hajdari, was convicted by Greek justice. The Greek authorities have declared him on the charge of "Illegal Border Crossing".

The name of Kreshnik Hajdari, who currently runs under the Municipality of Kuçova, is among the names of 18 people, Albanian immigrants who were caught by the Greek Police and sentenced by the Ioannina court.

But the fact that he did not mention the punishment in the self-declaration form, Hajdari risks losing the right to stay as mayor.

The decision for the punishment of the mayor Kreshnik Hajdari was given in 1999 by the sole judge of the criminal court of Ioannina, Nicolaos Raptis.

The judge found him guilty and initially sentenced Hajdar to 4 months in prison and then converted this sentence to 1500 Dhrami, a currency that was used in Greece at that time before the introduction of the euro.

This punishment was not declared in the self-declaration form by Hajdari, and as a result, the "Bashkë Fitojem" coalition, residents of the village of Lumas in Kuçovo, have set in motion the General Prosecutor's Office and the Special Prosecutor's Office SPAK to investigate. /Time News
