The European Commission will continue to closely follow the selection process of the new Chief Prosecutor of SPAK, in order for the work of this structure to continue with the same determination and effectiveness.
An important meeting was held at SPAK between Altin Dumani and the Director of Enlargement at the European Commission, Valentina Superti.
The meeting discussed SPAK's work in the fight against organized crime and high-level corruption.
Superti described the discussion with Dumani as "very fruitful", emphasizing the importance of the results achieved by SPAK for the process of Albania's integration into the European Union.
Dumani is expected to visit Brussels soon, where he will present SPAK's achievements during his mandate as head of the special structure.
The European Commission will continue to closely follow the selection process of the new Chief Prosecutor of SPAK, in order for the work of this structure to continue with the same determination and effectiveness.
This meeting should not be seen only in a formal sense. It could be a warning of an imminent arrest at high levels.
But it could also be a clear message to politics, not to meddle in the race to select the new head of SPAK.
