"Imagine what happens if BKH goes to Surrel", Berisha's strong

Opposition leader Sali Berisha has made direct accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama and his family circle, linking them to the suspected corruption affair in the Llogara tunnel tender.

Berisha said that Rama was personally involved in the process of selecting the winner of the tender, accompanying Minister Balluku to Ankara to finalize an agreement that cost the Albanian state 50 million euros more than the real price. “Rama took Balluku and took him to Ankara where a meeting was organized that awarded the tender to Lubis for 50 million euros more,” Berisha said.

Further, the former prime minister said that the name of the prime minister's wife, Linda Rama, was mentioned in recordings related to the dictation of the winners of public tenders. " It is said in the recording that Rama's wife is implicated in the dictation of the winners of tenders ," he declared.

Berisha also raised accusations that a former deputy director general of Roads was "taken hostage" because he had provided information for the investigation in SPAK. He mentioned that a request was made to withdraw the file in which Linda Rama's name was mentioned, suggesting that justice had intervened to protect her.

"Imagine them going to Surrel to ask for the documents? So he (Rama) came out with all his potential and got a license to continue the elections in court," Berisha added, linking this to the Constitutional Court's decision that reinstated Minister Balluku.

He called on citizens to join in powerful protests to stop what he described as "organized looting of public property by the head of government and his personal circle."
