Roskovec is the next stop for Prime Minister Edi Rama in the Fier Region, as part of electoral meetings for the May 11 elections.
The socialist leader started his speech with a joke when he said that "I have had clashes with several men, but what can I do that Roskovec is a man, while the one who shaped him like this is a woman."
Focusing on recent polls, Rama said that they show the Socialist Party as the main political force in the country and a majority of citizens who believe that the country is heading in the right direction.
He criticized the way these polls are analyzed by some actors, accusing them of insulting citizens by treating them as if they were bought or manipulated.
"I strongly believe that these are the days when we should give an opportunity to those who are not informed, are not clear and are not convinced of what transformation has occurred in Albania in these three mandates. Even more so when many of the things you will see are not found and are not seen anywhere. You are the vanguard of the women's community of the socialist capital. You have been brought to believe that we have done a lot and have a lot to do. There are many others who do not have the opportunity to see Albania's progress in the television screens, where it reaches the point of madness that while polls are published that give us the winner on all channels, polls conducted by all kinds of groups, those who comment on them insult an entire people, commenting on the fact that the majority support the SP, the majority think that Albania is in the right direction, like a disease. By saying that this people is sick, this people is scared, sold out", said the prime minister.
Rama also mocked Lulzim Basha and Sali Berisha by saying '7x7 = 6 million,' also referring to the DP's lobbying in the US.
'The flower said 7x7 42, now the owl said 7x7 6 million,' he said.
Rama stressed that his government inherited over 700 million euros in debt, which has now been repaid and public debt has been reduced. He warned that if the Socialist Party had not been voted in in 2013, the country would have risked facing crises like those of the pyramid schemes of the 1990s.
'We inherited more than 700 million euros in debt and today we have no debt to any company and we have reduced the debt. 25 percent bad loans is a red light. The pyramids of Sude and Xhafer would have been repeated today if in 2023 the Albanians had not decided to give us their trust,' he said.
Socialist leader Rama also spoke about salaries. He said that with the SP coming to power, there will be an increase in salaries for teachers, doctors and nurses.
'Our goal is for the minimum wage in Albania to be 650 euros. The average wage was 322 euros and the public sector influenced this, and today the average wage is 848 euros, 2.6 times higher. In the public sector, teachers, nurses and doctors had 372 euros and today the average is 1 thousand euros and will go to 1200 euros,' he said.
