KAS has decided to open the ballot boxes in 2 polling centers in Durrës.
The KAS decided to open 60 boxes for preferential votes at the request of the candidate on the open list, from the ranks of the Legality Movement Party and the Democratic Party (ASHM), Aulon Kalasë.
Also, at the request of two members, the ballot boxes for CEAZ 21-22 and 126 voting centers will be reopened. As for the Durrës region, two members of the KAS decided to also open the ballot boxes from the diaspora at the request of the DP-ASHM.
Democratic candidate Aulon Kalaja joined the request to declare the Durrës district invalid.
A hearing was held today to review the request at the Complaints and Sanctions Commission. Kalaja claims that his votes were stolen from within the DP and sent in favor of the other candidate, Arjan Ndoja, who won.
While submitting evidence, he stated that based on the footage from the CEC, there was vote diversion not only against him, but also against 13 other candidates.
Kala's legal representative said that in most cases the votes were added to the winning candidate of the open list, former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja.
"The screen shows 31 votes for candidate Arjan Ndoja and the minutes show 37 votes. There are also cases when votes have been removed and added to other candidates. We have them with minutes and time in 69 boxes that we have verified so far. In CEAZ no. 21, qv 1361, table 1, we have found from the reading that was made that the table does not match the minutes, votes have been moved, 4 ballots for Aulon Kalana, 2 votes are reflected in the minutes, for candidate Hoxha 3 votes from the reading on the screen, 2 votes in the minutes, for candidate Ndoja on the screen 20 votes, on the table, minutes 25 votes. Votes are added to candidate Ndoja in another center, from 12 on the screen, 15 votes in the minutes", said the representative of Kala.
The castle also requested not only the opening of the 69 boxes for which they submitted evidence, but also over 500 boxes in the Durrës region.
"I was the first candidate to come and file a complaint, because I saw what was being done at the CEC, the footage was made available to me so late, I did it not for a mandate, but for transparency, I did it to establish myself as a cornerstone for other candidates, there are votes that were declared invalid for me, the votes for one candidate were artificially increased, and votes were taken from other candidates as well. Doesn't that impress you?", said Kalaja.
According to this decision, 60% of the ballot boxes in Durrës district will be opened for votes within the country and 100% of the ballots received from abroad will be recounted. Previously, KAS had decided to open the ballot boxes in Tirana and Fier.
