Former Minister of Finance, Arben Malaj, has stated that he had a conversation with Arben Ahmetaj.
Invited to a show, he said that he exchanged messages with her a month ago.
" I spoke with Ahmetaj a month ago. He sent me a message of thanks. When he once complained that he was in danger of being killed and his family was in danger, I made a statement: "It would be shameful for my country if a crime were to happen against the former deputy prime minister of Albania and his family." He had read my message and thanked me. I said: "There is no need for thanks. I do not want to enter into a conversation." Ahmetaj had willpower, but he fell victim to his instincts ," says Mr. Malaj in 'Dritare'.
