The head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, during his speech at the rally held in front of the Prime Minister's Office, declared that corruption is taking Albania's breath away.
Bardhi said that Edi Rama and his criminal gang seek to intimidate and humiliate citizens to make them feel hopeless. He emphasized that the protest gathered today is to show that evil will be defeated and those who have stolen the people's money will receive the punishment they deserve.
" This protest is not just against a corrupt government, but it is for our common dignity, for our faith and for the future that we will not forgive Edi Rama. We are not here because we cannot stay warm in our homes. We are not here because we like to spend time in protests, but we are here because corruption is taking our breath away. Corruption is taking Albania's breath away, because the drug cartels, together with their government, are stealing our future, they are stealing the future of the children of Albanian citizens.
Edi Rama, Belinda Balluku, the criminal gang and the drug cartels behind them, want us to be afraid, they want us to be silent. Edi Rama wants us to lower our heads, they want us to think that we are hopeless. Together with their gang of mega thieves, he wants us to believe that in this country everyone is the same, that nothing changes. But we are here to show them that they are wrong and that evil will not triumph. We are here to tell the thieves and criminals of the government that their time is up. Now is the time of the honest citizens of Albania. Because when the government steals, it doesn't just steal some money, it steals your life, it steals your opportunity, it steals the future of your children , "said Bardhi.
