Evi Kokalari, the Albanian-American activist who 4 years ago appeared alongside Sali Berisha in the battle he waged to take over the leadership of the Democratic Party, has revealed, through a post on social media, who was the American 'guru' who ensured Edi Rama's victory in 2013 and how the Prime Minister, who is aiming for a 4th consecutive term in office, can be overthrown.
Kokalari writes that in 2013, Rama hired one of the most influential political consultants and strategists not only in America, but also in Europe & Israel - Arthur Finkelstein. And making a comparison between him and Chris LaCivita who is leading the DP campaign in the May 11 elections, Kokalari writes that "LaCivita is not even 1/100 of Arthur Finkelstein professionally, but also in his connections with the Republicans. Arthur Finkelstein remains the guru of electoral campaigns and one of the strategists who will be analyzed for a long time by people in politics."

In an interview yesterday, Edi Rama spoke about a former campaign consultant of his from whom he has learned a lot.
Who is Rama talking about?
In the 2013 campaign, Rama hired one of the most influential political consultants and strategists not only in America, but also in Europe & Israel - Arthur Finkelstein!!
How do I know? Because his two assistants who landed in Albania for 6 full months during the campaign are individuals I know well and have dealt with the campaigns of many NY Republicans, both for Congress and for the presidential elections of Trump, Ben Carlson, etc.
In fact, when they initially told me that they were running Rama's campaign, I was shocked, considering that Rama is from the Socialist Party. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party had ties to Podesta and those from the Democratic Party in the US.
Rama was not only very close to Finkelstein but he was one of the few who spoke at his funeral in 2017. Later, at the luncheon following the funeral, he was seated next to former Republican Governor of NY George Pataki.
Arthur Finkelstein was Ronald Reagan's campaign strategist, was very important in the end of the Cold War, and Reagan's discussions with Gorbachev. He has campaigned for Viktor Orban and Benjamin Netanyahu. He has won countless electoral campaigns for the Republicans in America, and without any fear I say that he has been one of the most influential consultants of the last 50 years, so much so that all his manuscripts are now preserved in the Library of Congress. So much so that today essays are written for electoral campaigns based on Finkelstein's exploits.
LaCivita is not even 1/100 of Arthur Finkelstein professionally or in his ties to the Republicans. Arthur Finkelstein remains the guru of electoral campaigns and one of the strategists who will be analyzed for a long time by political people.
I have said before that Rama's camp is much, much more sophisticated than Berisha's in many details - and I have told Berisha several times that he needs a super skilled strategist, and I had Finkelstein's level in mind.
Berisha's lack of sophistication is clearly visible in the 6 million lek contract he signed, a sum wasted in the most barbaric way.
Again, Berisha could have solved the problems of the stains without the need to waste money in this way, and the victory would have been guaranteed if he had not brought LaCivita just for show on Albanian TV, but with maximum focus on the field. And LaCivita himself said that he prefers to be invisible in the campaign, as happens with all consultants - except if you are in Berisha's Albania.
In conclusion, Rama's sophistication can only be overcome with a strategy of the same level as Finkelstein's or more sophisticated than what Rama learned from him, and perhaps the best way is precisely by using the same individuals who enabled Rama's victory in 2013.
Rama is not fought with insults and cannibalistic threats. Rama is fought with facts and electoral expertise.
